How a USDC purchase request works
Type or say a request like "Buy €100 of USDC" in the ChainATM iOS app. If a purchase can be prepared for this asset, network, payment method and region, the app shows a proposal with the provider, amount, network and costs. Nothing is executed until you confirm it. If no proposal is shown, the purchase is not available to you at that moment.
What to check before buying USDC
- A stablecoin is designed to track its peg, but "stable" is not "risk-free". You rely on the issuer holding reserves and honouring redemptions.
- USDC can exist on more than one network, and the versions are not interchangeable. Check the network in the proposal. Sending to an address on the wrong network can lose the funds.
- A card or bank purchase is processed by the third-party provider shown in the live flow. That provider sets its own terms, identity checks, payment methods and regional availability.

After you confirm a supported action, execution may use ChainATM's authenticated backend and Privy's wallet infrastructure, or request approval from a connected external wallet, depending on the route. A confirmation screen is not proof that every action is signed only on your device or universally gated by a passkey.
