## What EURC is

EURC (Euro Coin) is issued by Circle, the same company behind USDC. Each EURC is backed 1:1 by euros held in reserves at European banks. It exists as a token on Ethereum, Base, Solana, and Avalanche.

## Issuer and regulation

Circle holds an Electronic Money Institution license in France, and EURC is authorized as an Electronic Money Token under EU MiCA regulation. This regulatory standing applies to EURC itself; ChainATM is a separate service built by Noctra GmbH and is not itself a MiCA-licensed CASP.

## EURC vs other euro stablecoins

- **EURC (Circle)** — backed 1:1 by euros at regulated banks; authorized EMT under MiCA.
- **EURT (Tether)** — operates outside MiCA authorization; limited EU exchange listings.
- **agEUR (Angle)** — decentralized, backed by other crypto assets; algorithmic peg.
- **EUR-pegged synthetics** — varied backing and redemption; not regulated EMTs.

## How to buy EURC on ChainATM
